Who I am

Madison Jackson grew up in O’Fallon, Missouri. Her time was split mostly between the school choir, leading her church’s Praise band, and her local community college theatre. Through learning these skills, she cultivated her love for music and the story it tells, as well as the unique relationships that can be made in its presensce. Madison is currently in her senior year at Southeast Missouri State University, planning to earn her BFA in Musical Theatre in the spring of 2021. In Madison’s free time, she enjoys going on hikes with her four-legged son, Nash (Great Pyreneese mixed with Border Collie, her constant source for seratonin). Madison is also an avid reader; some standouts that can been found on her bookshelf include the Six of Crows duology, the Truthwitch series, and The Graceling.

the road so far

Madison has been fortunate enough to have been cast in many productions during her time at SEMO. Some of her favorites include 9 to 5, Sister Act, and Jesus Christ Superstar. Her favorite experience of her career thus far was the opportunity to bring an original work, An American Hero, to the New York Musical Festival with the conservatory. In the spring of 2021, Madison will have the chance to take on a new creative role behind the table as an Assistant Music Directer for an original work from composer Stephen Schwartz, and couldn’t be more excited.
